Adobe Flash CS4 Annoyance #43

With all the panels available for CS4 I figured it might be easier to have certain design panels in certain places and then certain development panels in others and then switch to a different Workspace (view) when needed. Of course, all of these are resized accordingly. Timeline, for example, in the Design view is large whereas in Developer view it's very minimized.

Switching to the Design Workspace then is an easy way to see objects on the stage when you have a lot of Layers in the timeline. Great!

Switching back to Developer view (which is where I spend most of my time) gives me a major problem.

The Compiler Errors panel as well as the Output panel are SO LARGE THAT I CAN'T RESIZE THEM! Great. Now what am I supposed to do? Reset the Workspace. Great. Now I have to go about putting everything where I like. Again. And I'm sure this won't be the last time. (I should have created my own workspace from the get-go.)

These screenshots are to the bottom of my monitors! Note that they were grouped together and I thought that pulling them apart might solve the issue.

Adobe Flash CS4 Annoyance #71

Here we have an instance on the stage named 'leaderboard_mc'. The instance name in the Library is the same.

When we click into the clip to edit, we can follow the path as seen below. A very handy way to click on any object in the path to jump to that depth.
Question: Why do we not see the underscore?

Answer: Adobe has removed it for us for some unknown reason. Aren't we taught that spaces in names are a no no?

Zero S

http://www.zeromotorcycles.com/zero-s.php
  1. Fastest acceleration in its class
  2. Street Legal - Road Ready
  3. No emissions or sound
  4. Less than $.01 per mile to operate
The thing that appeals to me is #4.
The thing that bothers me is that last part in #3. No sound. How will this be safe in the city? How many people will just walk out in front of you?
